• Patientrettighederne handler om at give alle danskere ret til hurtig behandling, så de kan tage på et privathospital på det offentliges regning, hvis det offentlige ikke kan levere hurtig behandling.
• Det handler om at bekæmpe lange ventelister og uværdig behandling – ikke om privathospitaler.
• Vi lægger op til at styrke danskernes patientrettigheder, og vi vil samtidig sikre, at flere ressourcesvage patienter gør brug af deres rettigheder. Fx skal sygehuset fremover oplyse patienten om alternative behandlingssteder, hvis der er lang ventetid.
• Hvis patientrettighederne betyder overbetaling af privathospitalerne, hvorfor stemte Socialdemokratiet så for behandlingsgarantien på 30 dage og den reelle ret til hurtig udredning i 2016?
Er det her ikke bare en spare-øvelse?

• Nej. Regeringen har investeret massivt i vores sundhedsvæsen de seneste år. Faktisk er sundhedsvæsenet løftet med over 6 mia. kr. siden sidste folketingsvalg i 2015.
• Med udspillet til en sundhedsreform vil vi fortsætte løftet af den borgernære sundhed. Vi foreslår at investere 6 mia. kr. ekstra mellem 2020 og 2025 i en Nærhedsfond, som bl.a. skal støtte lokale sundhedshuse og sikre flere ambulancer og akutbiler.
