Hvor skal pengene komme fra?
Svar:
• Ud af de 6 mia. kr. i Nærhedsfonden kommer 1,5 mia. kr. direkte fra reduceret administration og nedlæggelse af regionsrådene. Fx fordi vi ikke længere skal aflønne politikere i regionsrådene, give partistøtte og nu kan skære ned på bureaukrati og administration i det regionale lag. Resten af pengene kommer fra finanslovsaftaler, Danske Regioners formue og penge til offentlige investeringer.

• Finansieringen til mere nærhed afhænger af, at man er med til at finde pengene. Med vores forslag har vi altså 1,5 mia. kr. mere end oppositionen til at investere i sundhed, fordi vi nedlægger regionerne.

Hovedargumentet fra Socialdemokratiet er at den nye reform vil medføre centralisering:
Formand for Socialdemokratiet, Mette Frederiksen, udtaler om sundhedsreformen: “Løsningen på udfordringerne i sundhedsvæsenet er ikke mere centralisering. Dét, der er brug for, er mere nærhed. Og mere tid til patienterne. At regeringen vil nedlægge regionsrådene, virker ærligt talt mere som en slags parterapi for blå blok end et reelt ønske om løse udfordringerne i sundhedsvæsenet. Hverken patienter, medarbejdere eller pårørende er tjent med, at vores sundhedsvæsen kastes ud i endnu et af Lars Løkkes skrivebordprojekter.”
